Defining a New Canvas

It’s no secret that many of America’s most interesting inventions and innovators have come from Boston, and we wanted to showcase that local brilliance inside our own walls. In the spirit of bold action «Pin-Up» inspired our hotel's namesake, we brought in a noted street artist and a local team of sculpture artists to leave their mark on a piece of Beantown.

The Foyer Mural

We brought in street artist Tristan Eaton to create a colossal, 65-foot foyer mural inspired by the paintings found in legendary local buildings like the Boston Public Library. He chose to tell Boston's story through a visual collage of pop imagery, executed entirely in freehand spray paint. As you explore the «Pin-Up» you’ll notice a tribute to Boston's revolutionary heritage and rebellious spirit.

Eaton also left his mark upstairs with a custom «Pin-Up» design for our guest floors, echoing the style of the foyer mural. This duo of designs is thought-provoking and unlike any other art you’ll find in a Boston hotel.

Innovation Tower

Created by the «Pin-Up» team known as Individuals Collective, the three-story Innovation Tower is the centerpiece of our lobby and celebrates Boston’s revolutionary history of innovation. Wrapped around the elevator column and spanning three stories, this installation features physical objects collected in the year prior to its creation. Each object represents a significant invention from the region - from the basketball to flamingo lawn ornaments, Bose headphones to the typewriter, and the optical mouse and beyond - all rendered in monochromatic white to maintain its simple yet bold impact.
